Shopify to WooCommerce CSV converter.
This free Shopify to WooCommerce CSV converter turns a Shopify product export into a file the WooCommerce product importer understands, with variable products, variations, images, prices, stock and SEO fields in the right columns. It runs in your browser, so your product data never leaves your computer.
Your file is converted in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
How to use it
Convert Shopify products to a WooCommerce CSV in four steps.
1. In the Shopify admin, open Products, click Export, choose All products and the plain CSV format, and download the file. You can also type the store's address above to read its published products straight from the storefront, which works for any Shopify store but leaves out stock counts and SEO fields because Shopify doesn't make those public.
2. Upload the file above. The converter reads both the current Shopify CSV headers, such as URL handle, Price and Product image URL, and the older ones, such as Handle, Variant Price and Image Src, so exports from any year work.
3. Pick the weight unit your WooCommerce store uses, where categories should come from, and your SEO plugin. The result updates as you change the options, and a short list shows anything worth checking after the import.
4. Download the WooCommerce CSV and import it in WordPress under Products, then Import. WooCommerce matches every column automatically because the headers use its own names.
Column mapping
How Shopify fields map to WooCommerce.
Shopify writes one row per variant and one row per extra image, all sharing the product's handle. WooCommerce expects a different shape: a variable product row that lists its attributes, followed by one variation row per option combination that points back to the parent by SKU. The converter regroups the rows and fills these columns:
| Shopify | WooCommerce |
|---|---|
| Title, Description, Tags | Name, Description, Tags |
| Product with only Default Title | Simple product |
| Product with options and variants | Variable product plus one variation row per variant, linked by the parent SKU |
| Option1–3 name and value | Attribute 1–3 name, values, visibility and default |
| Price and Compare-at price | Sale price and Regular price, when compare-at is higher |
| SKU and Barcodes | SKU (kept unique) and the GTIN field |
| Inventory quantity and Continue selling | Stock, In stock and Backorders allowed |
| Weight value (grams) | Weight in your store's unit |
| Product images and Variant image | Images, with the first as the featured image, and each variation's own image |
| Type and Collection | Categories |
| Status draft or archived | Draft products |
| SEO title and SEO description | Yoast SEO or Rank Math title and description |
| Product metafields | Custom fields named shopify_namespace_key |
Importing
Importing the file into WooCommerce without surprises.
Run the import on a staging copy of the site first if you can. In the importer, leave Update existing products unticked for a fresh store, and leave the column mapping as it is. WooCommerce downloads every image from Shopify's CDN during the import, so large catalogs take a while, and the Shopify store has to stay open until the import finishes or the image links stop working.
Afterwards, open three or four variable products and check the attributes, prices and stock of their variations. Variation rows reference their parent by SKU, which is why the converter gives every variable product a parent SKU based on its Shopify handle, and why duplicate SKUs are cleared and listed instead of breaking the import.
What it doesn't move
Customers, orders, reviews and redirects need more than a CSV.
A product CSV covers the catalog only. Customer accounts, order history, gift cards, reviews and blog posts live elsewhere in Shopify, and every old /products/ and /collections/ URL needs a 301 redirect to its new WooCommerce address so search rankings carry over. Passwords can't move between platforms at all, so customers set a new one.
If you want the whole store moved, including those parts, my Shopify to WooCommerce migration service covers products, customers, orders, blog posts and redirects for a fixed price after a free audit, at about half of typical agency prices. If I also build your WooCommerce store pages, the migration itself costs half.
Questions
Shopify to WooCommerce CSV Converter FAQs
Is the Shopify to WooCommerce converter free?+
Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no product limit. The conversion runs in your browser, so very large catalogs depend on your computer's memory rather than on a paid plan.
Does it convert product variants?+
Yes. Every Shopify product with options becomes a WooCommerce variable product with attributes, and every Shopify variant becomes a variation with its own SKU, prices, stock, weight and image.
Are my product images moved?+
The CSV contains the image URLs from Shopify's CDN, and WooCommerce downloads them into your media library during the import. Keep the Shopify store open until the import has finished.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?+
No. The file is read and converted in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. When you read products from a store address, your browser requests the store's public product list directly.
Can it import Shopify customers and orders into WooCommerce?+
No, this tool converts products only. Customers, orders, blog posts and URL redirects are part of a full migration, which I do with my own migration tools as a fixed-price service.
