Free tool / No sign-up
Bulk redirect checker for 301 redirects.
Paste a list of URLs, or the redirects you set up for a migration, and check them all at once. For each URL you see every hop and status code, where it ends up, and whether that's right: 404s, temporary 302s, redirect chains, loops, redirects to the home page and redirects that land on the wrong page are flagged. It reads every format the Migration Redirect Generator writes, plus .htaccess, Nginx, Shopify, Redirection and Rank Math lists.
Paste URLs or a redirect file. Every hop, status and final page.
Use the tool / Runs in your browser
Each URL is requested once from our server, which reads only the status and the redirect address, never the page. Up to 50 URLs per run.
Every product, collection, page and post mapped, 301s set up and tested after launch. Free audit, fixed quote, from $750.

Redirects decide whether a migration keeps its rankings.
When a store moves from WooCommerce to Shopify, or the other way, almost every URL changes: /product/blue-shirt/ becomes /products/blue-shirt, categories become collections, and blog posts move under /blogs/news/. Google and every old link still point at the old addresses. A permanent 301 redirect from each old URL to its new page passes those visitors and most of the page's ranking signals along. A missing redirect sends them to a 404 page, and a page that returns 404 for long enough drops out of Google's index.
Setting redirects up is only half the job. Imports fail silently, a theme or app adds its own redirect on top, a typo sends a product to the wrong page, and some platforms ignore a redirect while the old page still exists. The only way to know they work is to request each old URL and follow it to the end, which is what this checker does, for up to 50 URLs per run.
What it flags
Each result, and what to do about it.
Every URL gets one of three outcomes: OK, a warning that costs some SEO but still works, or a problem that breaks the redirect:
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| OK: permanent redirect | 301 or 308 straight to the right page |
| Problem: ends at 404 or 410 | The redirect is missing or points to a page that doesn't exist |
| Problem: doesn't redirect | The old URL still answers 200 itself |
| Problem: wrong page | It ends somewhere other than the target in your list |
| Problem: loop or too many hops | Redirects point back at each other, or go on for more than 6 hops |
| Warning: temporary redirect | 302, 303 or 307 instead of 301 |
| Warning: chain | Two or more hops before the final page |
| Warning: home page | Sent to the home page instead of a matching page |
How to use it
Check a migration's redirects in three steps.
1. Paste your list. It can be plain URLs, one per line, or the redirect file itself: the Shopify URL redirect CSV, a Redirection or Rank Math import CSV, Apache .htaccess Redirect and RewriteRule lines, or Nginx location and rewrite rules. When the list has a target for each URL, the checker also confirms each redirect lands on that target. Rules that match many URLs with a pattern are skipped, because there's no single URL to test.
2. If the list has paths such as /product/blue-shirt/ rather than full URLs, enter the live site's address so the checker knows where to send them. After a migration that keeps the same domain, that's your domain.
3. Run the check. Results appear as they arrive, three URLs at a time, and you can download them as a CSV to fix in a spreadsheet or send to whoever set up the redirects. If you created the redirects with the Migration Redirect Generator, its result links straight here with the list filled in.
Limits
What a redirect checker can and can't see.
The checker requests each URL from our server, follows redirects up to 6 hops and reads only the status code and the redirect address. It never reads or returns the page itself. Redirects done with JavaScript or a meta refresh inside the page aren't seen, because they only run in a browser; search engines treat server redirects as the reliable kind anyway. Some sites block automated requests or answer differently to bots, which shows up as a 403 or 429 status.
To keep the service fair to everyone and to the sites being checked, each visitor can check up to 200 URLs every 10 minutes, and each website can be checked a limited number of times in that window. Private and local network addresses are refused, including redirects that try to point at one.
Done for you
Migration redirects set up and tested for you.
Redirects are part of every store migration I do: I map every product, collection, page and post URL, set up the 301s on the new platform, and test them after launch, then watch Search Console for 404s in the weeks after. If you'd rather not handle it yourself, the migration is a fixed price after a free audit.
Questions
Bulk Redirect Checker FAQs
How do I check if a redirect is working?+
Paste the old URL above and run the check. You'll see each hop with its status code and the final address. A working permanent redirect shows 301 followed by 200 on the right page.
How do I check redirects in bulk?+
Paste up to 50 URLs or redirect rules, one per line, and run the check. You can paste the redirect file itself, such as a Shopify redirect CSV or .htaccess rules, and the checker reads the old and new URLs from it.
What's the difference between a 301 and a 302 redirect?+
A 301 tells browsers and search engines the page has moved for good, so the new URL takes over the old one's place in search. A 302 means a temporary move. After a migration, use 301s.
Why does my Shopify redirect not work?+
Shopify only follows a URL redirect when nothing exists at the old path. If a page, product or collection still uses that address, the redirect is ignored. Delete or rename the old item, then check again.
What is a redirect chain?+
A chain is when one redirect leads to another before reaching the final page, such as http to https, then the old path to the new one. Each hop slows the visit down and can lose some ranking signal. Point the old URL straight at the final page.
Is the bulk redirect checker free?+
Yes, with no sign-up. Each run checks up to 50 URLs, and each visitor can check up to 200 URLs every 10 minutes.
